Mitch Nickels Bio:

I began growing orchids twenty years ago at the age of 13 and the Oncidiinae have always been part of my collection. I have grown on windowsills, under lights, and in a greenhouse at various times. More recently, working at Paramount Orchids has given me the opportunity to observe large numbers of these plants growing in different environments simultaneously. In addition, on my own time, I have done significant research regarding the breeding and naming history of this orchid tribe and can, therefore, shed some light on the confusing situation that recent name changes have created for growers of these plants.
